Canada-Ontario Job Grant

COJG provides an opportunity for employers to invest in their workforce, with help from the government. This grant provides direct financial support for employers who wish to purchase training for their workforce. In this grant program, employers choose the individuals they would like to have trained, and the training that meets their workforce development needs

This program is intended to support employers in taking a greater role in workforce development. The cost of training is a shared investment between employers and the government. The Job Grant will provide direct financial support to individual employers who wish to purchase training for their employees. It will be available to small, medium and large businesses with a plan to deliver short-term training to existing and new employees

Can-Export Program

The CanExport program is a five-year, $50-million Government of Canada program that provides direct financial assistance to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) registered in Canada that are seeking to develop new export opportunities and markets, especially high-growth emerging markets.

Reimburses up to 50 percent of eligible expenses:

Requires that the applicant match funds on a one-to-one basis;

Is open, with few exceptions to companies looking at export markets worldwide

Is open, with few exceptions, to all industry sectors.

Provides a minimum contribution of $10,000 and a maximum contribution of $99,999

SMART Green Program Guidelines

Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) is adding to the legacy of the CME SMART funding program. In the Fall 2016, CME in partnership with Government of Ontario launched a new $25 million SMART Green fund that will assist small- and medium-sized manufacturers reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) and improve their energy efficiency

Should you require additional financial support, you can have any repaid portion of the loan re-advanced to your company*. This option gives you the flexibility to borrow more money when you need it

Drawback Program

You may qualify for a drawback, which is a refund of customs duties paid for imported goods. You may import goods without paying duties.

Drawbacks can also be given when imported goods go beyond their natural shelf life, become obsolete, or become surplus. In these cases, the goods must be destroyed by order of a Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer. See Memorandum D7-2-3, Obsolete or Surplus Goods, for more information. You can temporarily use a motor vehicle in Canada before you export it without affecting your eligibility for a drawback.
